Causes Of Bad Breath And How To Deal With It

Causes Of Bad Breath And How To Deal With ItDo you have trouble with bad breath? Well I think you may have an embarrassing problem! But don’t worry. I’ll try to help you out. First up, let me talk to you about the causes of bad breath.

Now bad breath can be caused by poor dental health or hygiene, but that is not always the problem, because some people do take care of their dental hygiene but still have bad breath. Besides that, people who smoke and drink a lot of alcohol tend to have bad breath as well. But the thing is, not everyone out there with bad breath is a smoker or just consumed an alcoholic beverage.

The root cause of bad breath is quite obviously bacteria but you may be wondering how the bacteria got there. Well in some cases, medications and mouthwashes with alcohol can cause bad breath. What happens is the medication or alcohol dry out inside a person’s mouth, and that results in the mouth producing more saliva. This in turn creates the ideal breeding ground for bacteria. That is why people who are thirsty, have a dry mouth or do not drink enough water tend to have bad breath. Besides that, certain food such as garlic and onions can cause bad breath as well, but I’m sure you already knew that.

So how do you get rid of that stinky breath of yours? Well I pointed out earlier that if your mouth is dry you are most likely going to have bad breath. So the first remedy for dealing with bad breath is to drink lots of water. This will not only help make your breath less stinky but it will also benefit your health in other ways.

Next, I suggest you do not rely on mints. While mints may provide temporary relief to your breath, it may not be beneficial to your health in the long run, especially if the mint contains sugar. You may end up getting diabetes if you keep taking mints to cover your bad breath.

Another simple action you can take is to brush your tongue. Your tongue can accumulate a lot of bacteria, so it is important that you brush it. Brushing your teeth is important too, and you can consider brushing it and your tongue regularly or after every meal.
